A world-renowned military commander and fighter battling a little girl. What could be more one-sided? The Grand Dragoon General Viper has many impressive titles attached to his name, but he's yet to accumulate anything in the way of DL accolades. He'll fix that by smashing this Middle season, as only a battle-tested veteran can. His quick, accurate light attacks are more than enough to smash through Nino's evasion...and once he gets a combo going, Viper can close in and start shredding her with heavy strikes. Flagbearer will reduce Nino's magic damage to pathetic levels, and any of his attack skills are more than enough to knock this frail little girl out of the arena post haste. |

You'd have to search far and wide for a sharper contrast than a battle between the diminutive orphan Nino and the lordly General Viper. But like a certain famous shepherd, the little mage that could is hardly afraid of the mighty giant she must face. And while Elfire spells even bear an interesting resemblance to sling's stone, her true asset in this battle is evasion. Dodging has always been her strong suit, and here it will cripple Viper twice over, since he must land physical blows in order to access his skills. It seems almost too simple, but there's really very little Viper can do to stop the little mage from dancing circles around him as her spells slowly finish the fight. |

I was also given a letter for you..." *Six hours before the match.* "What do you mean, you want me to forfeit?" Nino said. "...you know why." "But I...you really think I don't have enough of a shot?" Nino said sadly. "I'm sorry." "...Alright. If that's what you want." Nino sighed. --- "What is this...'You'll regret making her sad.'? What..." Viper said, confused. Then Viper's world exploded in a flash of light. --- Jaffar, watching the people gather around Viper's body from the shadows, silently shook his head. "They'll revive him."
