Season 34, Week 2
Kyle
(Suikoden 5)

As far as being a confident, charming ladies man is concerned, the gambler and pilot Setzer might be in Kyle's league, but Setzer is terribly outmatched in battle against a veteran Queen's Knight who can be deadly serious when needed. Kyle's expert sword strikes far outclass Setzer's weak dart and dice throws, as one would expect, and the plentiful healing provided by Kyle's water rune makes a slugging match between the two that much more lopsided. It's nothing personal. Kyle and Setzer could probably have a nice round of drinks together after they fight. But in combat, Kyle is all business, and Setzer's not going to survive being on the business end of his sword.

There is much to bet on in the famous gambler Setzer Gabbiani’s first match of the season. Will he achieve victory with his Doom Darts, negating Kyle’s healing by killing him in one blow? Or will he follow the will of the dice and allow their damage to overpower the Queen’s Knight? Could he decide to simply defeat Kyle with a turn of the slots? There are so many ways Setzer can win the battle that the gamblers of the RPGDL are turning out in droves to place their bets. The number of bets leaning towards Kyle winning the match, on the other hand, isn’t particularly impressive. With all the possibilities this match has, there is only one consensus; Setzer is the favorite to win it.

Gatewalker
Do you know what happens when you bring a foam bat to a swordfight? Well, now Setzer does. After getting himself into an Action RPG Only party on a technicality the night before, Setzer forgot that he was still in his rather pathetic Kingdom Hearts 2 form when he went to bed, and didn’t get out of it before arriving at the match.

Needless to say, he was practically laughed out of the arena when he went for his Loaded Dice and came up with the equivalent of a whiffle bat. But that wasn’t the worst part. The worst part was when Kyle finally got over his laughing fit, strong armed the Struggle bat away from Setzer, and proceeded to beat him soundly about the head and shoulders with his own ‘weapon’ until the gambler was forced to flee the ring out of sheer embarrassment.

But hey, he still got to go to that party, right?
