Season 40, Week 4
Dart
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

Aaaar. It's a fine day for slicing a landlubber into ribbons, it is. Gale's cold logic and colder, windier magic is of no avail in there arena against a true pirate warrior like Dart! While he may not be the powerhouse on the battlefield Fargas is, Dart's blisteringly fast attacks and top tier offense will make short work of the demonic being without any regrets or hesitation. Status magic? Arr, that's no good, Dart will confess. But! What is good is that it hits Dart's evasion, so he'll stand a good chance of avoiding it and being able to finish the job! This is assuming the lethargic Gale even gets a turn this battle, which is looking unlikely to this warrior's eyes. Demons no like a Silver Axe to the face.

A meeting between Gale and Dart a meeting between two opposites. Man of brawn and man of brain, a powerhouse and an intellectual mage. But these two share one very similar trait: they both focus on killing opponents as quickly as possible. Both Dart’s axe and Gale’s accurate death spells are designed to steamroll opponents, making the question here who goes first. Unfortunately for Dart, his subpar move, combined with his lack of decent long range weapons, leaves him open to a magical attack, which Gale can certainly provide. That’s assuming Dart even manages to double his axestrikes against the demon. You wouldn’t expect someone named Gale to be going second, now?

A wise man once said "What's in a name?".

Perhaps this match is an example of this.

After all, one would assume that a powerful gale would blow away a small projectile.

Such a object would be struck violently by the whimsey of the wind, quite probably harmed greatly, and would struggle to even strike the mark at all.

Certainly, the dart would have a chance, but by no means would it be large. It would require luck and skill, and the wind would, most of the time, be triumphant anyways.

Of course, names have nothing to do with reality. There's nothing to a name...

But sometimes coincidences are really cool like that, aren't they?
