Still flush with victory after taking down the White/Silver Dragoon, Venusaur is feeling pretty good about himself. A bit of Sleep Powder here, a stray Razor Leaf, maybe the occasional Frenzy Plant there, and it all adds up to a formidable battle strategy! Venusaur's next match is a bit tougher, granted; he didn't mind Shana's holy attacks, but it's not hard to imagine Yuki striking the grass monster's Flying weakness. But no worries; most of his big moves are Special attacks, which get around Yuki's Flash ability, and Sleep Powder is always a sound strategy against PCs. And with that, the original grass starter has a simple path to the semifinals! |

Yuki couldn't ask for a better draw than the floral lizard Venusaur. Heck, this is practically a free trip to the semifinals. Sure, the Pokemon has nasty status and some good buffs and even solid damage...but that all means less than Alonso's self-control at a casino if those attacks fail to hit. And Yuki's high-speed Flash skill will make sure they don't. That technique is all it will take to shut Venusaur's offense down cold, giving Yuki all the time he needs to just chip away with his combos until he can finish things off with a Dragon Slash. This fight is going to be easier then crashing an airplane, and considering Yuki's record there, that's saying something! |

"How about we decide based on the successfulness of Edge's next inevitable scheme?" said Jecht. "Needs more fire...but I'm at a loss for things, so that works!" said Kefka.
