With an easy win last round, it's obvious that Keneth made good use of his time waiting for his first DL match. Now, however, is where it'll really pay off. His opponent is Valeria, and she's seen a lot more of the world, and of the true runes, than Keneth has. She eats breakfast with Soul Eater Rune users, dines with the Bright Shield Rune user, and beds with... well, Edge is still looking into that one. Nevertheless, Keneth will have to blitz Valeria with everything he has, because while he is a sturdy fellow, Valeria's Falcon Rune hits harder than his Diamond set might be able to withstand. Still, nothing would be funnier than seeing Valeria's hair stand on end, so the comedic edge lies with Keneth, and so too may fate. |

The power of Lightning runs up against the might of the Falcon rune. Well, Valeria hates to break it to Keneth, but the logic of Lightning beats Birds only works for Pokemon, and this swordswoman's vocabulary consists of far more then her own name. Sure, she may not be a swordmage like him, but the veteran of two True Rune backed wars is more then tough enough to withstand whatever the knight from Razril cares to dish out. But can the same be said of him? Keneth is a rather skinny guy, after all. He probably can't take too many swordblows directly to the chest, and it's his misfortune that the specialty of any Falcon runer is delivering just such blows at speeds even lightning has trouble keeping up with. |
Joou Ranbu Apparently, Margarete, Deis and Opera were popular that week, being called to ref two matches in the same week. After the Hahn vs. Rose disaster, however, they decided to do something less jarring, albeit not by much. A "My Fair Lady" cosplaying contest between Valeria and Keneth. Keneth, sadly, didn't do very well, as he associated "putting an elegant dress" with "getting himself dumped under a ton of gaudy jewelry". As such, he resembled Carmen Miranda in a satin dress far more than Audrey Hepburn. Valeria, however, pulled it rather elegantly. The silk white dress, the black gloves and the classy cigarette holder, alongside a perky and simple pearl collar - those added up for a nice, veritably distinct look. As such, Valeria won pretty easily. Not all is lost for Keneth, however, as he's going to be the star of a story on dressing tips in Chisato's fashion magazine! Just don't tell him the name of the story is "How to not embarass yourself when trannying it up". Keneth: 8 |
