Wot kind'o name is Ulf anyway? Not the type to scare ol' Yangus, that's wot! Cor Blime... the hell with this nonsense. Ulf doesn't scare Yangus one bit. He's fast. So what? He resists fire. Don't care! Yangus will win this the way he's won his last matches: attrition, Helm Splitter or Grimmer Reaper. Ulf might get a potshot in before Yangus can go, but what can he do with it? Yangus will survive and retaliate easily enough. You don't mess with a former bandit lord who traveled with a creepy green toad king and his horse daughter! No matter what Ulf can dish out, Yangus can deal with it easily and retaliate with his axe and scythe assaults. |

What is a dragon rider to do when he gets waylaid by a bandit? Smash him to bits with fiery death while avoiding anything the slowpoke tries to throw at him. Yangus may be a REFORMED bandit, but the same logic applies. Dynamite Rush will blow Yangus to kingdom come in record time, while Shadow Warrior will leave the shorty incapable of so much scratching Ulf's absolutely evading hide (how often does Ulf get to call someone Shorty, anyway?). Ulf is out to prove that he's not just a soulless supporting male character! While beating Yangus won't accomplish that, it's at least a step in the right direction - and an easy step, at that. |
Cryo "Bwahahaha! You see me, Yuki!? That was so easy I didn't even break a sweat! I'm awesome!" Ulf certainly was happy after his win over the reformed bandit Yangus. So happy he almost didn't notice that Yuki and Alfina had skipped his match to watch Emelious lose to Rubicant. Almost didn't notice. He was pretty upset that his friends hadn't even come to the match. It didn't help his mood when a very attractive woman by the name of Red came to console Yangus over his loss while Ulf stood there completely deprived of any companionship whatsoever. Except maybe his dragon but that doesn't really count. If loneliness is the path to being emo, and emo is as powerful a force as Grandia 3 seems to make it out to be, has Ulf started on the road to Godlike? Only time will tell. Yangus: 15 |
