Season 52, Week 3
Beatrice
(Wild Arms 3)

Ah, invading the dreams of humans and stirring up strife. The life of a dream demon is good, especially when her victims are completely vulnerable to her nightmares. That's especially the case this time around with the angsty Persona user Shinjiro Aragaki, who also has quite a tormented past to make the bad dreams all the more enjoyable to inflict. Not only will they be enjoyable, however, but he has no way to prevent Beatrice from beginning her dream-weaving and nightmares at all. His offense may even be solid, but he needs to charge his power in order to make it register against the devious Beatrice, and he will not get that much time to exert himself. So, this should be a simple, but entertaining exercise for the demon that put the world of Filgaia into stasis. Now, to bring forth repressed childhood memories...

As a no good punk and persona user, Shinji probably would laugh at the first sight of his opponent. And after knowing how she fights, and her powerful abilities, he'd laugh even harder and kick her ass! Sure, she has some tricks up her sleeve, but Shinji's more of a straightforward slugger who'll have no complications to distract him from planting his axe as far into Beatrice's forehead as it'll go. A few axe strikes and God Hands in... sleep? There's no way a nightmare's gonna slow Shinjiro down long enough for Beatrice to have a chance beating him. Of course, should a Nightmare induce a quick nap, she'll be hard pressed to capitalize, what with Shinji's ability to soak up damage. So no matter what happens, Shinji has the advantage, and there's little chance he'll let the opportunity to make it to the semifinals slip by.

Shinji didn't understand. Everything was going crazy. Yukari was running around screaming about how she wasn't as pretty as Mitsuru and how Ken-chan was cuter than she was. Akihiko was asking Minato if he looked over 21 while Mitsuru was driving around in a go-kart. Koromaru was drinking tea and reading a newspaper, talking about some corrupt politician with Junpei, who was wearing suspenders. And all the while Shinji was wearing a pink frilly dress while holding a guitar. He was confused, and more than a little scared. The eerie green light of the Dark Hour covered everything, and coffins were everywhere. At least that much was normal, but what was going on?

Beatrice snickered as she finished peering into her now-snoring opponent's dream. Having grown bored with intruding on it she gave a little shrug, mentally picked him off the ground, and flung him out of the ring. While winning matches was fun, sometimes the manipulative demon enjoyed plying her powers and watching the havoc even more. Very little was as crazy as the inside of a person's mind after all.
