Season 56, Week 2
Ivan
(Golden Sun)

Agile, adorable, and often underestimated, Ivan is here to once again make his mark on the Middle division. Having lost to the fonic master Jade many seasons ago, it's time to prove that he's got what it takes to win. As the master of Jupiter's arts, Ivan has more than enough tricks to stop anyone he faces, and Opera just happens to be it. With the power to read minds, Ivan will be able to foresee every movement Opera makes and adjust his own strategy accordingly, especially considering his amazingly agility. But even more important than that, unleashing his Djinn - from Smog's blinding air to Squall's paralyzing breath and Luff's silencing smoke, and not to forget the hyper-activity that Kite provides - will provide him with the power to summon the mighty Thor, crushing Opera with a gigantic hammer filled with the power of Jupiter. Of course, Ivan can fight well enough on his own - powerful Jupiter magic crashing into Opera or power-boosting psynergies to give Ivan the strength of a god himself. There's no eventuality that Ivan isn't prepared for – he's exactly like a good boyscout, really.

A boy. Really. Opera's managed to claw her way out of the masses and back into Middle, aiming still higher toward Heavy. A boy. That's all they can bring out to challenge her? But... he's just a kid! Mind reading aside, kids should really just be enjoying themselves, not fighting in an arena! Really! Regardless of whether or not he's an Adept out to save the world - leave that to the grown-ups! That said, if she has to, she'll go in with guns blazing and ready to level him without hesitation - there's no way she's sliding back into Light! With Healing Star and Alpha on One, she can mount a brutal stalling game against his subpar durability and keep up against his own offense. His Lightning and Wind magics (Jupiter, kid? Really? That planet's old news) are mockable - amongst her many stylish ways of mocking his magic, the Mithril Dress and Gale Earring have to be the most glamorous, and they'll help against his elemental status as well. Physicals? Meet Opera's evasion. Opera's got this in the bag - with her good looks, great style, and big honking gun, she'll make sure that she never has to see another pathetic Light field again. Geez.

Djinn
Opera was baffled. After all her speeches about not wanting to hurt a child, especially knowing that she had no trouble resisting his strongest elements... That little brat starts throwing his PETS at her. So stunned by the action that she as might as well be called 'paralyzed', the young boy simply picked her up and tossed her out of the ring for a non-fatal win.

Opera was glad to at least see the boy had some manners, but she wasn't happy about the mongrel interference and her looming fate in a possible downgrade pool.

Chisato will -never- let her hear the end of it...

Ivan vs Opera

Ivan is no match for Opera's feminine wiles.

He's also easily distracted by members of the audience commenting that his head is shaped like a melon. Opera shoots him in the back like a rat.
