Season 4, Week 2
Marle (Nadia Guardia)
(Chrono Trigger)

Marle, though hated and one of the weaker characters in-game, is quite a decent dueler. Her Haste is one of the most powerful hastes in existence, making her low speed very good, as well as possessing cheap full-healing spells. While her damage output is low, her Provoke spell and Valkyrie Bow can help make that problem less of a problem. Against Alma, Marle will just have to wait her out, relying on her much more effective healing spells to run the FFT-bitch dry, then ( slowly ) pummelling her to death.

Had it not been for a purple octopus three seasons ago, Alma would have the label 'Middle champion' on her RPGDL resume. Now, however, she is finally getting another shot at the title she fell just short of. However, her first opponent is an all-too-familiar one... Princess Nadia (Marle) Guardia. Though Alma bested the upstart princess in the semi-finals of Season 1, it won't be easy to repeat. Once again, Alma is best off optimising for speed and power and blitzing her less-than-durable opponent with Ultimas before she can get a chance to form a Haste-heal loop. With an N-Kai Armlet to block what is now recognised as Marle's deadliest status attack (Provoke), Alma should be able to pull out a repeat win.

RuinCrusader
Alma didn't win this match on her own accord. It's just that Queen Leene went missing again, which made Marle disappear.
