In a celebration of new beginnings, the first post-hiatus round of Middle combat showcases Shiba's first fight, and just to make things even more appropriate, he's facing off against a fellow reptilian warrior from Suikoden III! However, all this means is that he gets to show the superiority of the Lizard Clan over those mindless brutes from Toran. The Warrior Rune raises his power to the point where he can even face down a full-sized dragon, never mind a being closer to his own size. With his Lizard's pride in his fighting skills, Shiba will go on to show the true strength of the Grasslands. |

Consider the case of Bright. Bright is the proud draconic steed of Futch, and supposedly, he is a clever beast indeed. So it would be all too easy to personify him. Yes, Bright is clever for a dragon, and yes, he served alongside Shiba valiantly in the Second Fire Bringer war, but don't think he'll fight with a human's honor. The sad simple truth, however, is that Bright wasn't fed for a day and a half before the match, and lizards is good eating. Sure, you could hope for a world of puppy dogs and rainbows where Bright won't eat his good friend and ally, but smart money for this match is on the Dragon. |
