Season 43, Week 3
Nikea
(Suikoden 5)

The Boar Rune had made short work of Alonso, earning Nikea both victory and a free meal at any DL establishment for the week. Unfortunately, as delightful as both of those rewards were, besting the unpopular lancer was anything but difficult. Sadly for Nikea, crushing Hahn should be no harder. Her deadly Boar Rune packs enough punch to it to reduce Hahn into a quivering pile of goo without much effort. Her options for status blocking stops Hahn from trying to lower her deadly attack or getting otherwise cute with status. Between those two, there is little doubt in this warrior's mind as to who will claim a victory this time around. The pain will be brought, have no doubt. The only question in Nikea's mind is how many free meals she can score if she beats Hahn. There's only one way to find out!

Scholarly determination, kindness and a magical arsenal to shame dedicated magicians - this is what the gentle Hahn Mahlay brings to the table in a duel. While his constitution and swiftness leave a bit to be desired, the researcher from Mile makes up for it with his magical prowess. Nikea, with all her supposed martial arts swiftness, doesn't seem to have the nimbleness one would expect. Sure, her Boar Rune lets her hit somewhat hard, but that hardly matters when Hahn can count on his trusty shields to defend from her flurry. She can't do the same about Hahn's highly versatile magical arsenal. With Doran to make her more sluggish, Gelun to sap her strength, the Res family of spells to undo her harm, and Vol to end her miserable struggle, there are many ways for Hahn to quickly win this match.

Hahn versus Nikea...in an eating contest? Yeah, seems like Hahn didn't feel up to a punch-out today, and Nikea is always up for eating, so they decided to settle things this way instead of beating the snot out of eachother.

The dish of choice today? Pizza, that staple of impromptu eating contests everywhere.

Nikea managed an impressive fifteen entire large pies before having to call it quits.

Hahn put away eighteen.

Nikea is a champion eater, to be sure. But she made one fatal mistake in this contest. Never underestimate the eating prowess of a student when there is free pizza involved.

Nikea: 17
Hahn Mahlay: 26
