Get back here, you! Sure, Vincent may think he's some fancy-shmancy action hero now, gallivanting around stylishly while somehow failing to jump over small objects in his path. And yes, loyal soldier Oswin never was the most mobile warrior around. However, it's all quite irrelevant for one very simple reason: Oswin is immune to Vincent's damage. Or close enough, at least. Vincent can dance about as much as he likes, but he'll be running up against Oswin's impenetrable layers of armor no matter what. And Oswin's wide choice of spears and axes means that evading Vincent's limit should be quite a simple feat. Who knew that the armored knights of Ostia could shrug off bullets as easily as arrows?

A knight in shining armor, this time? Mr. Valentine does not much care for such flaunting of a so-called sense of justice. Well, that'll just make sure he has no qualms about fighting at full force, which is exactly what it'll take here. While Vincent's gunshots might just as well tink off the Ostian's armor for all the good they do, after taking a hit he'll be able to channel his bestial side to fully heal his wounds and become sturdy enough to match Oswin on top of that. What's more, it gives him access to an advantage the knight doesn't have - magic. Beast Flare will rip through the general's defenses and leave him and his armor burning in a nice scrap heap, ideal for striking a badass victory pose in front of.

The fight between Oswin and Vincent went about as expected. Oswin showed up, Vincent showed up. Vincent started sniping at Oswin, Oswin countered and continued his offense with superb lancework.
And then Vincent turned into a monster, growling at Oswin... who apparently didn't know this about Vincent at all.
And who panicked and flung all five lances he had in his stock at Vincent at once, OHKOing him.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Spears are all well and good, as are guns, but nothing beats a fight or flight reaction to the face.
Oswin: 38
Vincent Valentine: 18
