"Special delivery boy" Nash enters this season with a cocky grin, a bromide tucked within his robes, and a speed to match that of his lightning-type spells. Though Cray may have ample resistance to the apprentice's bevy of status spells thanks to his equipment setup, his magic defense still leaves much to be desired, and Nash practically runs circles around him with Cray's sluggish speed. That said, two or three shots from Thunderbolt are all Nash needs to win, risking one attack from his opponent at most; and Nash, despite being a fragile mage, can survive one attack.

Breath of Fire IV has produced its fair share of champions, and Cray's ready to prove that he is just as worthy of victory as his compatriots. His first opponent, Nash, will be a challenging but far from impossible foe. Nash’s advantages are cut due to the Woren's status resistance, and his well-known speed is shattered by Slow. However, Cray's sub-par magic defense will hinder him greatly. The question is, can Cray’s vicious attacks cut through the speedy mage before the cat is brought down by his devastating magic?
