Season 28, Week 3
Maxine
(Suikoden IV)

Maxine faces an anti-mage in the arena, but all hope is not lost for her. Maxine's physical damage isn't as bad as one might think, and she can use it to force Jerin to heal herself. Maxine's excellent Mdef should hurt Jerin's MP robbery enough, and she has a great deal of full healing courtesy of her Cyclone rune. If she's patient enough, she might be able to run Jerin out of MP - Mirror has to be re-cast every three turns. This silver-haired Star of Destiny has to prove that Cyclone runes are superior to Mother Earth runes, and defeating Jerin should be just the thing to accomplish that.

Jerin has cruised along to an easy victory over one of Suikoden's respected Middle mages...and now she gets to do it again! Maxine's speed is meaningless before Jerin's own, and all of her magic hits Mirror, making spell casting a very bad idea for the wind mage. Plus, Jerin can drain MP with Absorb to keep her own attacks going. Also, Jerin's physicals and magic will have no issues whatsoever smacking the frail Maxine around. Jerin could even win without Mirror; relying on her durability and near-infinite MP to heal after Maxine's wind spells... but why bother when she doesn't have to?

Pyromania
Maxine v Jerin, another epic fight where both fighters try to wear each other down...

At least it would have been. But Maxine, being the intelligent woman she is, tried to come in as her boss form. She thought it would give her an advantage to have infinite spell charges...

Sure, what TimeLord did to her was vicious, wrong, and hilarious. But thats what she gets for reminding a Godlike that every loss was a potential win...

Maxine: 17
Jerin: 38
