In this battle of the father figures, Gadwin is easily the slower and less mobile of the two, unable to dodge effectively, slow to move, and even unable to get through narrow doors. However, he makes up for all this in defensive power, having more HP than an endgame Justin and the defence to match, meaning that he'll be able to take Leo's hits. Even better, while Leo is known for his ability to dodge, Gadwin's Eruption Cut will be able to cut through the General's evasion giving guaranteed damage. With a decent selection of buffing spells to make sure each cut counts, will Gadwin be able to cut down the Vector General?

The top general and finest swordsman of the Vector Empire, Leo isn't worth much when it comes to variety... but with his Offering/Atlas Armlet combo which allows him to strike four times for big damage, he really doesn't need it! Leo's attacks are sure to put a beating on Gadwin, who despite all his heavy armour isn't much for defence, though his HP admittedly renders this somewhat moot. Add in the fact that Gadwin's own offence isn't likely to strike fear into Leo, a defensive powerhouse, and the General should cruise to an easy win in his RPGDL debut.

After this match, I think it would be fitting for Gadwin to 'get some rest'. Preferrably six feet under.
Gadwin: 1
General Leo: 21

This battle can really be summed up by looking at the basic fight command of both of the combatants here. Gadwin, like all of Grandia has a choice of combo which does two attacks, or Critical which does the same amount of damage to a single target. Leo, meanwhile, has Fight which hits four times, and Shock, which hits one time for the same amount of damage to all targets. With this same pattern repeating itself no matter how you compare the two, Leo goes on to an easy victory.
