Patron saint of rebellious princess...er, priestesses in many worlds, Jessica has been away from the arena far longer than she might have liked. But that just means she'll have to make her run through Middle last the whole season! Her first opponent provides her a significant challenge however, as not only does Boyd hit plenty hard with his axe, but he is still fully capable of keeping pace with Jessica. That's not enough to keep up with her healing, though. She gains automatic HP regeneration from her Holy Mace, and that's not even beginning to go into the potent healing spells she learned as one of Althena's clergy. With that much staying power and the more mundane smashing properties of the Holy Mace, she should have no trouble finding breathing room from which to attack Boyd and secure victory. |

Not only does Boyd have to compete at the same as his brother, but this is also the first time any Path of Radiance characters compete in the DL. Talk about pressure! Luckily for Boyd, he has a pretty easy match this week. Jessica's great at healing but not much else, and that's not going to be enough. See, Boyd may or may not kill her in one blow, but if he doesn't Jessica's going to have to heal to avoid getting killed. And then Boyd will keep forcing her to heal until she runs out of MP. Regeneration's not going to be enough, either. This battle might take a while, but Boyd should have plenty of Silver Axes around to help wear her down. Or he could land a critical hit and turn her into vaguely white-mage shaped chunks. So relax, Boyd - you've got a free ticket to week 3! Let's see if your brother can do the same... |
