Middle is in for a treat this week, as a princess of the Romanov line issues a royal challenge to this season’s Middle contenders. Not your usual breed of princess, Anastasia is no frail, wishy-washy feminine damsel but an adventurous type who is as tough as nails and not about to let anything mess with her, the people she cares about, or what she’s set her mind on. This season she’s set on earning a Championship and she’ll pull out all the stops to do so. Deadly poison and a variety of other debilitating status effects, and the ability to reduce a target’s health to a single digit; those don’t work she’ll make the magic weak scream with her water and light magic damage, and she can keep herself going with her mighty stat buffing spells. To add insult to injury she can also remove positive effects from those that try to buff themselves. Against all this, Gerik stands no chance. Ana has just claimed the first of many victims this season.

Well, well. It's been a while since he's been able to enter the arena, but Gerik's not let his sword rust on him. Indeed, he's been waiting patiently for a good fight - but, sadly, it's not likely to come this week. While any warrior would be right to fear a child who steps so fearlessly into the arena, this doesn't change the fact that Anastasia stands little chance at unleashing her magical prowess upon the mercenary hero; with a snicker-snack since he won't hold back, Anastasia will crumple to the ground and Gerik will be able to advance onward. And, worst comes to worst and the little magess gets off one of her potent status spells, odds are good that he'll be able to dance around the attack and finish the job. Damage magic? Nothing that can fell Gerik quickly enough to stop his the dance of his blade. Nothing else she has comes close to being a threat to him, and as such? This match's pretty much over and done with already.
