Margarete, the spy who's into kinky leather sex. Erm...yeah... Anyway, Margarete is a very powerful fighter, despite her obvious obsession with leather. She's got access to some powerful attacks, as well as being fairly resilient for a girl. Her normal gun attacks are damaging, and long-range. Her speed is about average, as is her HP, MP, and other stats. For techniques, she's got access to a Sniper Rifle, for when that long-range, instant kill headshot is necessary. With On Switch, she can drop the kitchen sink ( literally ) on her opponent, and induce a nasty confusion status. Bazooka and Diving Bomber are simply strong attacks. Margarete is quite durable, and a great damage dealer. She can even heal her status problems if necessary. Her only weakness is a lack of healing, but that shouldn't be a problem with the power that her attacks have. |

It's been said before, but it deserves saying again: Ultros ain't your garden variety octopus. With a speed stat matching that of his fearless treasure hunter foe (incidentally, the fastest PC in the game) and a devastating status attack in Imp Song, Ultros can quickly incapacitate most PCs, and Margarete will likely be no exception. Even if Margarete somehow manages to shake off the status attacks, she faces a losing battle here as Ultros' high magic defence and boss status largely protect him from Margarete's nastiest skills, while Ultros' devastating Tentacle attack will put a decent dent in Margarete's good durability. It's really a shame for Margarete that her chances are so low, since he's a capable dueller, but that's the price you pay for facing a boss who by all rights should be in Heavy. |
