Like the tank he vaguely resembles, the mechanical mammoth Steel Massimo plows onward into the second round. Awaiting him is the bane of many a slow and steady slugger, a quick healer. However, Massimo has one thing that many of his fellow brutes do not: the sheer, overwhelming power of a Glint Armor Berserk Charge. Slow and steady, this iron giant will hack away at Elaine, forcing her to use up her precious healing until he's filled up his own Weapon Energy. And that's when he'll strike, taking a page from a fellow lancer's book and staking it all on a single blow. Elaine's sword shall be met with his incredible armor, her magic met with the will of a warrior and her feminine wiles met with a cold shoulder and steely disdain. When the dust clears, it shall be Steel Massimo who wins the day! |

Whew. Elaine could stand to have faced someone less pathetic than Nergal, but getting rid of creeps makes her life far less boring if nothing else. Speaking of creeps, though, what is wrong with this Massimo... um, thing? He's far more similar to, say, Gadget Z, than to a human being, and also seems to talk as embarrassingly as Belle's trinket. On the other hand, that big bardiche looks a lot more painful than anything Gadget Z can manage to swing, so Elaine might want to tread this a bit carefully. But with her runes and good looks, all should pan out all right: a few lightspeed strikes here, a Kindness Drop there, abusing her far superior speed and cleavage there, the usual. Maybe next week, Elaine will face an amenably handsome fellow instead of the freaks she's had to deal with so far. |
Gatewalker Activating his Glint Armor, Massimo swung his giant lance in a wide arc and howled his defiance, "This is it...full power! Finishing Strike! Berserk CHAAAAARGE!" In the silence that followed Elaine's prompt obliteration by that technique, the sound of Zero literally face-palming echoed through the stands, "Finishing...?
