Everyone's favorite squid is back, and he's ready to work his way back up to his old stomping grounds in Heavy! Of course, he'll have to win a few silly matches before he's back to his rightful division. His first opponent, Strago Magus, is no competition for him. Domingo's strategy is no different than what it always is: He'll simply create a chill wind that's too much for the brittle old man's heart to take, then do a complex, tentacle-laden victory dance that needs to be seen to be believed.

Final Fantasy VI's famous blue mage makes his return to the arena this week. Though the veteran isn't up against another Phantasy Star IV character, he faces something almost as feared: a floating jellyfish mage. Still, the old fuddy-duddy has the upper hand in this spellslinging duel: his infamous Sour Mouth will inflict every status effect in the book against Domingo, and Grand Train will cut through the ice mage's low HP with ease. With a little luck, Strago will prove that in RPGs, just everywhere else, addle-brained old men are far more deadly than simple jellyfish.

It was the most boring match in DL history.
For, you see, Domingo and Strago had agreed to fight out this match... physically.
Why? Well, perhaps they were tired of fast matches.
Or perhaps someone hired the Breath of Fire 3 Colloseum syndicate to install an anti-magic device in the arena, a someone with a personal bet against Strago. A someone who assumed he'd just give up when faced with smacking Domingo physically.
On an unrelated note, Hahn Mahlay was conspicuously absent from the crowd.

*FOOOOOOOOM.*
And that's the sound of the Dark Wave hitting the arena.
The judges just decided to figure out who got incinerated first. Much faster that way than doing this over....
Domingo: 16
Strago Magus: 29

Fact: Domingo's trump card in a duel is Desoul.
Fact: Strago's adoptive daughter and old friend both own Memento Rings, rare accessories that protect completely against instant death.
Sadly, neither of them would lend him one.
