Lord Windscar Ah, Zio... such a bad history you have had in the DL. Facing your own god is one thing, but facing someone who completely outclasses you in every single way possible? You have but one real option. Commit honorable seppuku with the Masamune. Or so he wanted us to think, as he walked in the DL arena and used his mad Plot Powerz on Sephiroth. Yes, Sephiroth got obliterated. Yes, Zio got DQed. But at least he still maintains his pretty boy face. Sephiroth: 49 Cora Meliamne Yunalesca is everything Any PC hates. Instant death, draining, dispel, status whoring with damage, Status counters... And a massive amount of HP. Cecillia will need more then a unbrella and Condition Green to win. She will need a miracle. Yunalesca: 47 Starphoenix das Helpoemer

Hate Hate Hate Does it even matter what the stats are? Does it even matter what the abilties are? No. All that matters is experiance. And no one has more experiance than Chaos, the original RPG villain. Poor Magus is gonna be scraping himself off the floor of the arena after this. Magus (Janus Zeal): 27 superaielman There are three things you can count on in the DL. One: No matter what, Hrist always fails. Two: Justin will always find a way to annoy Rune. Three: Lesbians hold immense power. So when Celes went out to the ring dressed in nothing but a smile and her wedding ring, with a equally exposed Nana in tow, Necrosaro knew he was in trouble. When Saro saw that Edge Eblan, Cidolfas Orlandu, Dekar, Bowman Jean, and Sain were the judges for this week's match, he knew the situation was bad. When Celes and Nana began 'entertaining' the judges, he knew that he had no chance of victory. While nuking the judges with a clearly illegal Madante spell was both grounds for a DQ from the match and something that would get him brutally mauled by DL security, it was something he was quite proud of doing.. ..Well, after he healed up from the beating he got from security ten seconds afterward. Celes Chere: 27 Meeplelard "Its So Hot I'm going to die!" Decus shouted as he used Spicule on Lin, crushing her in his flames...only for her to stand there living. "Phew, good thing I took Ryu's advice and wore my fire resistant garb" Decus stared at her. He could tell she was hurt, so he knew he was at least getting SOMEWHERE, so he decided to try the same thing again... As he was coming down "NOW!" Lin shouted, and what came out of the sky wasn't Decus on fire...but a Decus incased in Ice. "Look, I know you can fry things, but I'll be damned if I let you do that to me, even if it must cost me the match." Lin said, as she looked towards the stand where Nina, Cupid, and Hortensia all were sitting having seemingly all cast an Ice spell. Lin left the match, knowing she lost via cheating, but she didn't care; all that mattered was that she wasn't dead. Decus: 29 AndrewRogue
superaielman Seventeen seasons is a hell of a long time to be snubbed for a match. An entire cult was built around the the ninja gunner, and his inability to get in. So when he finally got a match, it was somewhat anticlimatic. A few fire spells from Seed and Shu was out, and on his way to a possible downgrade. While he may have been perhaps the most nominated and sought after warrior in RPGDL history, he still folds like a wet paper bag against someone who actually deserves the Heavy division. Or in this case, burns like a dry paper bag. Seed: 35 SageAcrin Sonya Shuleen is a noble, honorable soldier with the purest of love for her country. Rofel Woedring is a backstabbing conniver who will do anything to win. ...Bad combo. Well, Sonya realized it was, as she finally made her way out of the Great Glacier. Rofel had simply cast Dejeon on her while she slept, the night before the match... Of course, Sonya may be noble and honorable, but she happens to also be friends with way too many people, many of which have magic runes. And less honor/nobility. So, Rofel being found dead from massive darkness/fire/wind/sword related injuries a few days later wasn't really a shock...but hey, Rofel has a friend that knows revival, and it's not like he hasn't died before... Rofel Wodring: 37 Sei Wanting to make a good first impression in the league, Farah had prepared extensively for her match with the costume-changing drifter. She had researched her opponent as much as she can, looking up what she can do, and how she can counter them. She had asked the blacksmiths of the Suiko dimension to improve her Omni Weapon, to make them be lighter, yet hit harder at the same time. She had practiced the katas for her various moves, repeating them over and over until she can chain from one attack to another flawlessly. She had even mastered her Mirage technique to near divine levels, reaching speeds that would make even TimeLord blink, and her instincts to danger so honed, that it appeared like she wielded a sixth sense. Indeed, Farah was prepared for anything at all when she stepped into that ring. Anything, that is, except for Maya... ...who entered the arena wearing a very familiar black trenchcoat, wielding a very familiar sword, and sporting very familiar gravity-defying bangs. Apparently, a certain Godlike currently seeking to get his second championship, had just released his highy-rated novel entitled "Mother Dearest", which chronicled his struggles against power-hungry companies, evil witches, and spiky-haired idiots. And Maya Schroedinger had finished reading it last night. Needless to say, the battle didn't last very long. Maya Schroedinger: 22 SageAcrin Rena's hope for this match was simple enough. In her world, she found that she could get dozens of attacks for every one her enemy got off. She was simply that fast of a fist fighter. Therefore, all she had to do was keep punching. Simple enough. Unfortunatly, she forgot two things. A rule of her own world, and a rule of Beowulf's. As the battle started, Rena slowly ran up to Beowulf....who promptly attempted to turn her into a statue before reaching him. Beowulf could move around without a real-time issue, and could attack Rena long before he was reached by her slow movement speed. Fortunatly for Rena, this first attack missed. As she started smacking Beowulf, she thought she had a good chance... ...When the second problem arose, as Beowulf blocked her third punch. As she froze, midswing, for several seconds, he used Break on her again, and succeded this time. Well, so much for that theory. Beowulf Kadmus: 66 SageAcrin A battle of fierce magic was waged. Blasts of lightning struck into Philia, while the forces of the elements, gravity and holy light sheared out from Clemente, and flared into Rauny with enough strength to crush most normal men. Both of the combatents were incredibly evenly matched. However, perhaps a more important battle than this match was being waged at a bar nearby.... "You what!?" Alena shrieked, smacking Brey upside the head. "Stop...hitting me! I didn't do anything!" Brey said, his head swimming. "Oh, come on, I'm not totally deaf. I heard you talking about setting up a charm spell in a arena, and the other people at your table are Edgar, Zidane, Sheena Lepant and Sten. And all of you were just laughing. Now just what did you do?" Alena said, pulling back her fist threateningly. "He didn't do anything! We were just laughing about...um, a joke he made! Yeah, about.....um.....ah.....AUGH!" Sten yelled, as Alena calmly backhanded him unconcious. "He's a really bad liar. Anyhow, which arena, and what do you perverts have planned?" Alena said, calmly pulling out a pair of earrings... --- "Phew. We made it in time. Viki, you know what you have to do, right?" Alena said, to the young girl dressed in white at her side. "Of course, it's fairly simple." The younger of the two Vikis said. "Thanks. Those five will get theirs for this." Alena said, grinning. As the crowd watched, Philia, just barely standing, managed to hurl one last spell against Rauny before collapsing, exhausted. However, this was the last straw for Rauny, who found the world swimming around her. Battered, she stumbled, then fell to the ground, unconcious. "Now, Viki!" Alena yelled. Viki raised her right hand to the sky... As the trap went off. A massive charm magic, designed to make anyone in the ring fall instantly in love with anyone else. It took Brey weeks to research. Sadly for Brey, as well as the other people involved, they had taken the full brunt of it. Viki had teleported the two women out of the ring, and put Sten, Zidane, Sheena, Edgar and Brey in their place, just before the magic went off... Thankfully, this......ah......display didn't have long to go on. Sten and Zidane were caught in Anima's Oblivion, as soon as Yuna realized that they were, in fact, taking each other's clothes off. Edgar ended up blasted up into the stands by an Ultima as Terra surmised, correctly, that he'd probably prefer that than making out with Sten. And Sheena and Brey ended up caught in the full force of multiple Rune spells and magics. Well, really, it was Sheena that was the target, the girls he had hit on had been looking for a chance to roast him alive without consequences for ages. ...unfortunatly, this wasn't the end of it, as the trap's secondary effect went off. Brey had, in the making of the trap, guessed that one or the other combatants might die during the battle. So, the trap was designed to revive anyone dead in the arena. ...However, it never occured to him to put a limitation on how many times it revived people... Alena quickly dragged Brey(Still trying to fight his way over to Sheena...) out of the ring, judging that he'd been punished enough, and Edgar was fortunate enough to still be up in the stands(Dead, but that was probably better for him, all things considered.). The other three weren't so lucky. Sheena was eventually dragged out of the ring by his father, once he heard that his son was getting himself killed over and over again by girls he'd hit on. As for Zidane and Sten...well, they were blasted by horribly painful attack after horribly painful attack. Over and over. Dark Wave, Holocaust, Bahamut, Raftina, Xenogears stepping on both, DeadEnd Finality, Divine Dragon Ball, Eden, Luminaire, Hell Wave, Fate Storm, KaiserBreaths of multiple kinds, G.Dragon, Geno Blast, Jihad, doublecast Meteor, Zap, End of the World, Madante, multiple Megids, Legeon, Flare Wave, Super Nova, Razor Leaf, Meteor Doom, many different versions of Holy and Flare, Holy Explosion, For The Children, 10x D-Charge Hurricane, Forgiver Sign, Hell... Truly, the sight of Sten and Zidane making out brought together the Duelling League as it never has been before. Philia Felice: 22 SageAcrin As it turns out, Twaikin has a hidden weakness. Twaikin is deathly afraid of water, ever since, at the age of six, a giant clam tried to drag him underwater. (They have problems with these things in the world of Suikoden.) He couldn't swim at the time, either. (Never mind how a clam gets on land. It just does. Accept it.) It's why he stays in caves so much, y'see. No bodies of water in sight. Imagine how he'd feel getting smacked by an Assault Tide. Actually, no one really has to imagine. The shriek could be heard throughout the entire duelling league, as Twaikin wet himself and ran, gibbering madly, into a wall. His therapist says he's doing better, but he still has the same reaction whenever someone mentions Gallows' name. Which, of course, Landis does every chance he gets, preferably in large crowds, but that's another story. Gallows Caradine: 34 Zenthor Locke vs. Fiora in 3 easy steps! 1. Locke: Steal Clothes. 2. Meeplelard You know, all things considered, these two fighters are identical...asthetics aside. Cray has high attack. Aguro has high attack. Cray has 2nd best Defense. Aguro has 2nd best defense. Cray has game best HP. Aguro has game best HP. Cray is a slug. Aguro is a slug. But there is one major difference. Cray has an actual skillset. Aguro can only smack things with a sword. Match to the Woren Chieftan. Cray: 39 Meeplelard Marcus, knowing his opponent was a swordsman, openned up nice and easily and smacked Garet with his spear "Ow! That Hurt! Why'd you do that? Isaac! What should I do to him! Tell me!" "..." "Hey! Good idea!" Garet said, as he charged at Marcus smacking him with his sword...only to eat Marcus' Counter in return. "Isaac, THAT DIDN'T WORK! Oh wait, that's not what you meant?" "*Sad Face Icon chosen*" "Oh, so you meant I should use Heatwave, right?" "*Smiley Face Icon is chosen*" "Alright, should I use it?" "...*Smiley face Icon is chosen*" "Alright, here it goes!" as he fired it at Marcus, blasting him out of the arena. "Say, Isaac, did I win?" At this point, Garet was forced to be carried out of the arena, at Isaac's request (or rather, Ivan, who was standing by Isaac, had gotten annoyed and decided to speak FOR Isaac to security, and having read Garet's mind knew what was about to come next, but that's besides the point)...this did not however stop his incesant whining or questioning. Well, on the bright side, he still won. Garet: 36 Jo'ou Ranbu Mustadio brought his handy gun to the arena, completely confident of its ability to take down a simple backwater town singing lady. It was something he didn't like to do - such an uncouth behavior, to harm a young girl! - but hey, such is life in the DL. When the match began, Luna started singing a gentle melody. Mustadio shook his head. "This is a serious battle, miss. Singing... isn't a good thing to do right now". Luna just kept singing. Mustadio then waited. When she finished her song, he was in awe. She had a truly marvelous voice. But alas... he still shot her on the chest. He followed the course of the bullet sharply... ... just to see the shot bonking off Luna's dress. Luna yawned and smirked. "Nice shot. Now, let me see what I can do with MY ammo". And she shot a dart towards Mustadio. It hit the gun's pipe. Next thing you know, the gun went off on a comical, cartoony fashion, and Mustadio went down instantly. Suddenly, Ramza went towards Mustadio and started prancing like a moron while screaming "A Phoenix Down! Somebody bring me a Phoenix Down!". Fortunately, that pathetic match had for spectators only the judges, who were submitted to brainwashing after it anyway. Some things are just too sad to remain on the records of the Duelling League. Luna: 51 SageAcrin It was a beautiful day in the DL, as people watched Earnest and Wan Fu square off. ...The people that couldn't afford the matches that didn't consist of one person smacking the other person around with a stick, and the other jabbing the other person with a stick. Anyhow, as the boring match continued, a truly strange event happened. As the crowd watched, a massive meteor sliced out of the sky, and crashed into the arena center. Both Wan Fu and Earnest managed to dodge out of it's devastating wake, but....unfortunatly, their luck wasn't as good as it seemed, at first. For, the arena that this crashed into was the one situated over one of the darkest secrets of the DL, the Optional Superbosses Containment Area. As the crowd watch, stunned, Ozma rose up out of the pit and blasted Wan Fu into the dirt with a Doomsday spell, while an Omega Weapon pulped Earnest into the dusty ground with Terra Break. It gets a little hectic from there. Suffice it to say that the arena was evacuated with....ah, minimal casualties, and the monsters were recontained with massive casualties. (On the monster's side, mostly. You'd be amazed how much trouble those monsters have killing bosses that are using their full, generally illegal in the arena, invincibility.) Oh, the match? Well, Earnest died after Wan Fu, not that anyone really cared, so he was declared the victor. It's going to take forever to revive him, though, they're having to scrape his remains off half the arena. Wan Fu: 24
The Thing That Should Not Be Grefter We at the Eurocorp organisation are pleased to announce another smash hit tour by our talented artists.
