T.G. Nevareh In terms of Tir vs. Chris, since it really depends on who acts first (since they each have an ability that will completely screw the other over). Since Chris Lightfellow, for all of her advantages, was never one of the fastest characters in Suikoden III, whereas Tir Mcdohl had at LEAST above-average speed, I have to put my bet on Tir getting off Hell or Deadly Fingertips (both of which always work against suceptible enemies) before Chris manages to fire off Silent Lake. Provided that Chris DOES get Silent Lake off first, THEN it comes down to a battle of blows where it's a surprisingly even match, I'd wager. Tir is a resoundingly broken character, being one of the best attackers and magicians in not one but TWO of the Suikoden games, and thus I'd guess it's fairly even. If Tir gets Chris into a Suikoden duel (where one or both of the fighters have to shout something relating to what they're going to do next before they act), his being mute has the added advantage of making him harder to predict. Heaven Fang Staff is a reasonably good hitter (though admittedly not as strong as Chris' sword) and Tir doesn't have the advantage of Chris' heavy armor, so all he'd have is speed in a straight fight. Any other number of Tir vs. Chris Suikoden-Only Head to Heads are brutally unbalanced in favor of Tir; If they fight in a Major Battle, Chris has at most only three other people with her, whereas Tir brings his whole bloody army. In terms of home decorating, Toran Castle is much larger, grows much more, and is supremely more interesting than Lake Castle. In terms of overall importance to the story, Chris is a reasonably valuable and pivotal character but Tir is the Tenkai Star as well as the central being of importance. Tir also has the distinction of never having his rune levered off of him forcibly by an angry nemesis- no matter how hard Windy tried, she couldn't get it off of him. Though in ALL honesty, it might come down to the fact that Chris might be willing to fight dirty to defeat Tir, whereas Tir had ALL of his strategy and fighting-dirty executed for him by Maithu(who is in many ways infinitely better than Caesar; Brilliant Schoolteacher With Powerful Morals versus Brilliant... uhh... whatever the hell Caesar is. Hippie? Vagrant? Scruffy Guy? Relative of Maithu Silverburg?). Another bonus count to Tir in the major battle scenario; Tir would have Maithu, the Original Genius Silverburg, whereas Chris would have Caesar as her Silverburg. Despite the fact that I love Chris to death, the majority of situations in which I see her fighting Tir have Tir being victorious. Chris Lightfellow: 28 Starphoenix das Helpoemer

Dunefar Don't you UNDERSTAND?! Citan is like James Bond with magic and a katana? !! How can that lose?! It's like poetry in kickass motion, man, and totally unstoppable! Fate Storm, Smate Storm, it's nothing! Just like Solid Snake, Citan's gonna sneak up in a box and gank that pansy elf wannabe Ghaleon! This is gonna be a snap, since Citan is sooooo cool! Right, gu...huh? Citan? Answer me, Citan! CITAAAAAAN! Citan Uzuki (Hyuga Ricdeau): 18 CO Cheddar "Welcome, gentlemen. I see that you have all decided to join me." A cloaked man said, gazing upon those who had arrived. "I thought it would be pretty obvious that I would attend" Jack van Burace said, taking a sip of his drink. "I mean, this does directly affect me." "That fool has sullied the name of Shining Force 2! The Greater Devils will not stand for it!" Zeon roared. "Agreed." Dycedarg said coldly. "I want my revenge." "So it's all settled, eh?The cloaked man said. "Now, let's get down to business. Just how should Irving fall?" "Make him feel the pain we did!" Dycedarg yelled. "That boy must suffer!" "Oh, don't worry. I'm planning something special for Lloyd. Just wait until you see the kind of influence I have in judge selection..." --- The day of the match had finally arrived. The arena was filled to the brim to see what would happen in the battle of Lloyd vs Jack. Of course, given the Season, they were ready for anything. "In this corner, we have the Iselian Swordsman himself, Lloyd Irving!" Lloyd entered the arena to the cheers of his Symphonian castmates... only to gaze in horror at the other side of the arena. "And in the right corner, Jack van Burace and friends!" Jack was there... but not alone. Bowie, Dycedarg, Zeon, Zalbard, Cameela, Geshp, Odd Eye, Cecilia and Rudy Roughknight all stood in his corner, and they looked like they meant business. "Grr... Interference!" Lloyd yelled. "Give us time to deliberate this." A familiar voice called from the judges' box. "Time? What time do you need? This is clearly a violation of the... oh no." It was at that time that Lloyd had finally taken a look at the judges. "Looks fine to me." Chief Judge Mithos said with a shrug. "Anyone disagree?" Riou, Serge and Crono said nothing. Jet Eduro, the fifth judge, was too busy angsting to make any sort of objection. "The decision stands." Mithos said with a smirk. "Fight your battle and die." At that point, all hell broke loose. Trump Cards, Fury Shot Arch Smashes, Holy Explosions and various Shining Force and Wild Arms magic hit the arena, doing more than enough damage to shred any normal man. But Lloyd somehow endured. "Ugh..." He groaned, falling to his knees. "Aren't you... going to finish me off?" "Nah." Jack grinned. "I've won already." "You... think so, huh? I'm taking you down with me!" Lloyd yelled, charging up his dreaded Falcon Crest. "Prepare your... agh!" At that, Lloyd fell to the ground, completely unconscious. Jogurt walked away, a smug look on his face. Jack was victorious. --- "Worked just like I said it would, huh?" "You were right. I won, and I don't think he'll ever live down being knocked out by Jogurt." Jack said with a grin. "Course, there's one thing I'm wondering. Why did you want Lloyd dead so badly?" "Lloyd's lost me quite a lot of money as of late, particularly with his battle against Dycedarg. You got to win your match, the others got revenge and I made a killing on bets." At that, Setzer took another sip of his drink and grinned. "After all, isn't that what the Dueling League is all about?" Jack van Burace: 31 Dunefar
SageAcrin Wind, whistling through the treetops... Caressing Cecil's face... His horribly lacerated face... It turns out that Zeal's pretty persuasive, when she comes backed up with Lavos' plot power. She talked some judges into making the Dark Omen the battleground. When she transformed, she then had it drop to the ground. A giant mask and a pair of hands float. Cecil doesn't. So, ultimately, Zeal wins on the technicality that you can't ring out if you're just above the ring ground, no matter how far above the ring you are, and heads on to the finals. While they're trying to get Cecil out of that 40-foot oak he's stuck halfway through. Which is on it's side. Poor guy. Cecil Harvey: 29 superaielman Aww. It's Chibi Dekar! So cute! So deterimed to fight on! So crushed by a single hard stomp from Cait Sith. Oh well. At least he has a horde of fangirls to nurse him back to health. Cait Sith: 39 ChichiriMuyo

SageAcrin Have you ever seen a teenage girl kick the ass of a wise and powerful mage? Well, neither has Rebecca. Cai just stayed home that week and conquered half of Norgard while Vaynard was getting a Crimson Edge...extracted. So, really, everyone wins! Well, except Rebecca. Well, no, she wins the match, sure, but she loses, since a massive blast of whipped cream from an unknown(Or, at least, unmentioned.) direction drenched her from head to toe while she waited for Cai to show up. Poor girl ran away crying. Cai: 18 |
