RC Serge can cross dimensions. Hooray for Serge. Ultimecia can kompress time. Hooray for Ultimecia. Logically, it would seem that these two are evenly matched. That would be assuming that one didn't look at anything other than plot power. And, like in most cases, a good PC cannot beat up a decent endgame boss. Thus, Ultimecia dances on Serge's grave. Well, where his prone body was before it was absorbed into the timestream. Ultimecia: 14 RC When Dario was a little boy, Karsh convinced him to go into the mountain, and try and steal the Fire Dragon's spear. Dario was scared senseless when the little dragon turned into a big dragon. It left him with a somewhat understandable fear of dragons. Thus, Dario promptly fainted when Ryu turned into Rudra. A little dragon into a big one was bad enough, but a guy into a big dragon was worse. Ryu: 9 RC Long has it been a source of debate on how exactly Orlandu would dress when fighting in a battle such as this. He decided to take the easy way out this time, and wear nothing but his sword. While Sephiroth looked a little queasy at the sight of that, that stratagem didn't work. You see, while Orlandu did the equivalent of poisoning and inflicting sadness on Sephy, Sephy didn't have to worry about anything getting in the way of a Pale Horse. Orlandu, Cidolfas: 3 OblivionKnight Wow...crappy draw for Riou. Miguel resists Holy, which means Forgiver Sign is really weakened. Since Riou's physical sucks ( not to even mention how craptacular Shining Light is ), even after a Berserking, he's got no way to take this. Miguel's variety just overwhelms the little kid. Riou: 2 RC Tosh laughed when Asellus used Mystic Sword as an attack on him. Too bad that while he realised that he couldn't be absorbed, that the change upped her stats thanks to what she had absorbed earlier. Later, when he woke up, Tosh wondered exactly why his head hurt so much, and why he was in the medical ward. Tosh: 4 Super "Mirror Stance!" Ramsus's words echoed throughout the arena, as a death call to any who dare use physical attacks against him. The martial arts using Bowman Jean gulped slightly at that call, and did what any smart person does against the Perfect Human. -Trash!- -Reject!- -Failure!- Bowman's fans began the powerful chant, which caused Ramsus to begin to quake in anger and loathing. "I AM NOT TRASH!" By yelling, Ramsus dropped his guard.. and therefore, Mirror Stance. Bowman smiled, and rushed in to crush Ramsus with a Sakura Attack. However... Bowman hit nothing but air. Ramsus, in his blind rage, had charged in the direction of the crowd. Ramsus was stopped from exiting the ring by the sound of someone hitting a wall. Ramsus turned around, and saw that Bowman had kicked and punched his way out of the ring, into the arena wall, and right into a ring out loss. Ramsus, Kahran: 6 Hunter Sopko Finally happy that he didn't get uber-screwed with his first round draw, Jack is energetic about his fight with Ayla, and rushes out into the arena with all his considerable speed to... nothing. He waits, and waits, until someone comes on the loudspeaker. He recognizes the voice of Elmina, his love. "Jack, honey, I'm sorry. Ayla had to forfeit." "Why?!" "Well, apparantly she's been brought into custody for abusing her husband Kino, so she can't fight today." Horrorstruck that he can't fight the fight he has been waiting for, Jack crawls to the corner of the arena and cries. A sigh is heard over the loudspeaker. "Sometimes I wish I still had amnesia..." Ayla: 3 Meeplelard@hotmail.com No Silent Lake: Ryu uses G. Dragon, which obliterates just about Any PC, game set match. Silent Lake Goes off: Percival has this cause...wait, no, Ryu still has a 2nd move up his sleeve. Guts will let Ryu live quite a bit, and eventually, win by shear counter attacks. Gotta love that infinite Healing, even if a bit unreliable. And see how long it tends to take someone with a not so good Water Ranking (I think he had B...) using a Water Rune to Cast Silent Lake...I think situation A, no Silent Lake, applies. For being a shoddy Ryu, Ryu2 still isn't fun to fight, even after G. Dragon. Percival Fraulein: 4 Zenthor "Die Evildoer!" The guard of Budhec screamed as she stabbed into the watching prophet's chest. "Law of Vengance!" Leehalt said, taking the stabbing in stride. A spear materialized in front of him, flinging into Cecile. The spear disappeared as soon as it slammed into her, throwing her into the wall. Cecile stood up, and looked at Leehalt, who stood as still as a statue. Having absolutely no other options, she charged at the prophet again, once again, piercing his metallic chest. "Law of Vengance!" Leehalt breathed monotonally. This time, as the recently-created spear sped towards Cecile, she did something rather unexpected-and uncharacteristic-of her. She ducked, allowing the spear to pass overhead, and ran behind Leehalt. Considering that Law of Vengance never missed, the spear came flying back at her. ...And promptly hit Leehalt square in the chest, not only getting rid of the counter, but putting him into a counter loop. "GAH! Law of Vengance!" Leehalt cried, as he slammed himself with another spear. "Egh! Law of Vengance!" the loop continued, with no way to get out. The arena was silent, with the exception of Leehalt's cries and Cecile's laughing. The crowd was dumbfounded. Cecile certainly wasn't the brightest blub of the bunch, and this move was simply amazing for her to pull off. Cecile began walking to the other end of the arena, to watch Leehalt be hit with his own attack over, and over, and over... Well, she would have, anyway, if she hadn't walked straight into the line of one of the spears, killing her on impact. As her corpse fell, Leehalt's counter loop was ended, and a small, black earpiece fell from her ear. The impact must have turned the volume on the earpiece up, since suddenly Thomas' voice was heard. "Cecile? Cecile, can you hear me? Come on, you've won! My plan worked! Hello? Ah! Er, what's that? Cheating? No, I nev... what's this, then? It's... uhm... it's a radio! ...What? Go where? No! Please, don't make me! Please, no, not Guillaume!" And thus the universe was set once again. Cecile was never clever enough to come up with the idea on her own, and Thomas posed for many a Guillaume x Thomas doujinshi in the weeks to come. Leehalt Alceste: 12 OblivionKnight Zynk's great, but Sonya is just that much better than him. Besides some of her natural...assets...she's got excellent speed ( more than even Tir and Cleo and the like ), a Water Rune for healing, and a strong physical attack, plus great defenses and HP AND spell charges. All-in-all, one of the best damn PCs in Suikoden. Zynk is a great physical fighter, but he's extremely 1-D. Should be an obvious win. Sonya Shulen: 7 RC Taya waited and waited and waited and waited for the fight to be cancelled. Finally, Camus showed up. It turns out he was on a double-date with Lavitz last night, and fell over drunk on the ground. Taya wins by default, thanks to the Matilda Knight Camus: 3 OblivionKnight Bow and Virginia, for the first few minutes, traded shots back and forth. Bow's carefully aimed shots kept getting disrupted by Virginia's rapid and random firing. Bow, of course, was getting frustrated by all this. So he did what came naturally for him... ...he went for her leg, gnawing and biting at it for nearly a minute. Afterwards, Virginia dropped both her guns and ran crying out of the arena, looking for Doctor Huan to give her rabies shots. Bow: 7 Super Chisato's a smart girl, and she knows to research her fight. So, when she discovered what Nanami's Anti Yaoi bait triple attack did to an average male Suikoden fighter, she ran screaming to the judges, and forfeited. A shame that she didn't think to look up the term 'yaoi' until after Nanami fell over laughing.. Chisato Madison: 7 metroid composite Grey's blade was too swift for Sneff. After all, he will not die, and twas Lemia who saved him, he shall not forget; he shall not throw away victory so easily. Sneff: 4 Elfboy Ronfar, being a gentleman, decided to seek out his opponent the night before the match. "It's what Leo would want me to do," Ronfa said to Hiro before leaving. "Besides, Tengaar's supposed to be one hot babe, and while nothing is sexier than a girl trying to kill me, meeting her in a time of peace might be more... rewarding." "I assume you're going for the 'make love, not war' approach?" asked Hiro. "Me? Never! You know I've settled down for good, with Mauri." "Sure," said Hiro. "Just behave, or I'll tell Ruby there's fish inside your skill again." Ronfar winced at the memory of the last time Hiro had done that, bid his friend good day, and made off towards the Suikoden quarters. *** Ronfar knocked on Tengaar's door. "Come in," came a voice. "Don't mind if I do, little lady," chuckled Ronfar to himself, opening the door, and starting. "Oh... it's you, Hix. Um... is Tengaar here?" "She's out. She'll be back soon, though," said Hix. "You can stay here and wait, if you like." "Sounds good," said Ronfar, coming in and sitting down. Then he had an idea. "Say, Hix... want to play a game to pass the time? I'm sure you'll have lots of fun." *** "I lose AGAIN?" said Hix, as Ronfar pocketed another 200 potch. "Why can't I ever seem to call a pair of dice?" "Don't sweat it. It's just bad luck," smiled Ronfar. "Come on, give me another chance to pay you back." "All right... odds," said Hix. A pair of fours came up on Ronfar's dice. "Too bad, I really thought you'd win that time. A real shame. Another go?" "RONFAR!" screamed a voice. "T- Tengaar! Just the person I was looking for!" said Ronfar, grabbing his dice and backing away from the furious young Warrior girl. "How dare you, Ronfar! It's bad enough that you cheat ANYONE with those dice of yours, but Hix? That's like taking candy from a baby! Have you no shame?" "... I don't get it," said Hix. "Now hold on just a sec, girl! I wasn't cheating your boyfriend really... actually, I was planning on having you cheat your boyfriend, if you catch my drift- I said the wrong thing, didn't I?" Ronfar's face paled. "Talk to the hand!" yelled Tengaar, raising her right hand. A brown rune glowed. One Earthquake later, and Ronfar was so far gone that he was unable to show up for the next day's match. Tengaar: 11 Elfboy It takes Nanami three turns to charge her Triple Fire Storm finisher, which should be enough to dispatch Cyan. Cyan, fortunately, can kill Nanami in one hit... Unfortunately, that hit takes more than three rounds to charge. And when you're losing to a Valkyrie Profile mage due to YOUR charge time, you might as well not bother showing up to the match...
