DragonKnight Zero There's not really much to the duel. Both fire gigantic beams of destruction at each other until one falls. Lacking Chaos Shield, False Althena falls first. She'd arranged for a second contest beforehand for the duel. At least, she could take some consolation in that she'd win that one. Understandably, Ghaleon had no enthusiasm for taking part in the second contest. However, the judges (which included Zophar and Myria) reminded him that while the second part only comprised 5% of the score; his refusal to participate would be treated as a forfeit. Worse, False Althena had persuaded Blue to make sure Ghaleon didn't try to wiggle out somehow. Not about to concede defeat to that "pitiful imitation of a goddess," Ghaleon stormed off to the changing rooms muttering about murdering TimeLord the whole way. To False Althena's disappointment, she lost the beauty contest. She turned out to be no match for Magical Girl Ghaleon in the looks department. Oh well, at least she has some time before Ghaleon recovers from his humiliation and hunts her down for a second beatdown. Ghaleon: 36 SageAcrin There are some battles where there is no hope. No chance. Where the future, no matter how hard you fight, refuses to change. --- "Huh. There is someone that can outeat her." Hanpan noted, as Cecilia, exhausted, passed out on the table. Lavos, his massive bulk noticably swollen by asian noodles, roared triumphantly. Or maybe it was a belch. It's hard to tell. Cecilia Lyne Adelhyde: 14 Barubary
Gatewalker Jack vs. Id...in a plot fight! Yeah, they drew Setzer as a judge and he decided to flip a coin to see who got to pick what the match was. Needless to say, Id won the toss. Jack tried to just forfeit and walk out. He almost made it to the door before the Falcon landed on him. Jack van Burace: 16 Ayra To counter an hero, one must think like an hero. For days now Saturos has been anxiously thinking about that situation. The problem is, the only heroes in his world were... Not terribly bright to say the least. He knew that Nel was a tricky one, and he also knew that an all powerful boss like him was more than a match for a single hero. In his thinking, his best bet is to simply not tricked by her, and he'd get a victory that'd make Menardi burn in jealousy. So, as soon as Farleen came to bring him a proposal, he promptly torched her before she could say anything, but curiosity still took the better of him as he picked up the half-burnt paper. "I wager you 10000 coins that I can beat you without wielding any weapon in the arena. Signed Nel Zelpher." The insolence! He sent back Farleen's ashes (She's made a full recovery since then) along with his own insult letter. To his surprise, no other tricks came from Nel, and the day of the battle finally arrived... --- "So you agree to the terms I sent you?" asked Nel defiantly while standing with her arms crossed in her trademark pose. "What?" asked a furious Saturos. "You are seriously challenging me without weapons??" "Correct." said Nel as she took out a large bag and threw it outside the edge of the arena. "Here is the ten thousands of your world coins as mentionned, if I were to lose. And as previously mentionned, I shall not wield any weapon in this challenge." She removed her Ice Blades from their sheats and placed them on the ground. She then placed an Ice Falchion, and her prized Blades of Ryusen. She even conjured her three ice daggers and placed them on the ground too before offering her hand to Saturos. "Agreed?" He angrily clapsed Nel's arm: "You insolent little *censored*! You can't defeat me even with your weapons! I will..." "Is that so..?" interrupted Nel with a sly smile as she used her free hand to grab a secure hold of Saturos' arm. "Whirlwind!" The nine icy weapons lying on the ground were suddenly picked up by the whirlwind, shreading through a panicking Saturos. Fortunately for him, the suffering lasted barely a few seconds. "That's what you get for hurting my subordinate!" huffed a determined Nel as she picked up her weapons and coins amidsts the cheers of Tynave, Farleen and Clair. "Don't forget to pay up for your loss, Saturos!" finished Nel as she left, leaving the bleeding and freezing demon to be tended by the arena medics. Saturos: 18 Taishyr All reports of this match have been censored. All video copies of the match have been erased, and all observers and participants, mind-wiped. The only information from the match has come from Mewtwo in a highly classified report. In the main, non-censored section of the report, a list of over 25 Elder Gods, a reincarnated Baal/Jogurt hybrid, Marona, Blue, and various levels of apocalyptic weapons were used. The only other notes state that all aggression attempts failed - against what, the notes are unclear. Mewtwo has, in slightly unrelated news, gone quite clearly bonkers. Marle (Nadia Guardia): 28 Gatewalker Kornell was all set to beat the snot out of some annoying kid for his spot in the finals. He had everything he needed to do the job, too. Tons of muscle, the will to succeed against all odds, the mighty Kornell Buster, and most importantly a full host of boss immunities for her pesky status. There was simply no way he was going to lose this fight. And it would seem that his opponent agreed with him, considering she never showed... ------ *Earlier that day, Madain Sari* "Kupo! A letter's here for you Eiko!" Eiko blinked as one of her moogle friends announced that bit of news, "A letter? Who from?" "It says from the offices of Dr. Ray Palmer and Dr. Ryan Choi." Now she was confused, "But...I'm a white mage. I don't need to see any doctors. Eh, bring it over here anyway." Taking the letter from her friend, the little summoner's eyes went wide as she read it, "This is...an invitation!? To be a...but...I have to go today..." "Don't you have a fight today, kupo?" "I...I think this is more important. This could change everything!" ----- In other, surely unrelated news, there have been recent sightings of a new superhero in town. Calling herself Mini-Maid, this newest caped crimefighter is reported to deal with criminals by reducing them to miniscule size and leaving them in jars for the police to take in... Kornell: 25 Djinn Rozalin strode confidently into the stadium where a large crowd had gathered to watch the match. She sized up her opponent quickly - this Anna woman was carrying a pair of oddly-shaped blades and appeared to have little affinity for magic. No problem then. Rozalin cradled the handle of her pistol in its holster. She had the range advantage, and all it would take is one clean shot to take out the silent Hunter for good. At the sound of the match bell, Rozalin wasted no time in drawing her weapon, aiming, and - watching the barrel of the short pistol become even shorter. Anna's oddly-shaped blades were apparently ranged weapons and cleanly bissected the Princess's gun. As Anna closed the gap between them to finish the job, Rozalin's attention was still focused on the broken weapon. That had been a custom model! Her father had given that to her! The more she thought about it, the more enraged the otherwise gentle Princess became. ...And unfortunately for Anna, an enraged Rozalin has catastrophic consequences. As the audience evacuated in the wake of the first blast of Rozalin's unsealed power ripped through the fabric of space, several Bluelikes had to be called in to quell the disaster. For using an illegal duelling form, Rozalin had forfeited the match, but Anna wasn't looking as if she'd be up for much fighting in the next round. The DL healer teams have their work cut out for them. Rozalin: 10 Lezard Valeth
superaielman A close fight, with two strong Lights who both deserve to upgrade. They could fight a plain ole boring match, or do things the fun way. A lot of liquor and a bout of boredom from the two veterans hacked a mad plan- why not fight through the jungles and forts of the Contra universe? The person who makes it the furthest wins. It's more fun than hacking at each other, that's for sure. First advantage is to Peco, who's radius attacks and healing gives him a huge advantage over Cleo. He can take his time and grind through the levels. All Cleo has is her stats and possibly a Rune to back her up. One sided? Not until you remember the Contra universe. It isn't about how much damage you deal or the lives you have, it's about how you can avoid damage. Peco is the very definition of a slug, he's a fuggin living onion. Cleo is as fast as she is deadly, with tons of speed and evasion. She can avoid far more damage than Peco can take, a huge advantage against the deadly bosses. Her range lets her keep far away as well, while Peco has to close in akwardly with his claws and try to scrape out a win. Tir's servant slash general will lbe attacking and throwing swords against the final boss while Peco's dead in the Energy Zone from those stupid *@$%ing lasers. Cleo: 33 Taishyr
Dissidia: Norgard Defense Force CmdrKing The Warriors of Cosmos stared down the White Wolf. From the shadows, the Emperor Matteus smirked. A single look from the Shadow Dragon felled the Nogard Defense Force in one fell swoop. The mighty knight of Corneria, Garland, did knock down the Warriors of Cosmos. And Gabranth, helmet blazing with all his untamed powers, ground the survivors to dust. Just as Planned indeed. NDF: 13 Cosmos: 6 Chaos: 26 SageAcrin
