Myria vs Melfice
superaielman Melfice can: Battle Myria 3, and get his sword and Regenrator destroyed by Siricco and Holocost and go down swinging. Or he can battle Myria 1, and evade her physical with ease- well, he can. His accessories have no such protection. The sword's immunity to physicals does him no good, Myria 1 would much rather deal with Wailing Soul Slash than Quake and put up with Melfice constantly healing himself with the regenerator. Or he could go all out, kill the other parts of Valmar, and then battle against the titanic power of Merged Myria. The only problem there is that turning into a giant Horn is likely to get the wrong kind of reaction from Myria and will get him dragged off to a fate worse than death. Isolde Schelling vs Lady
superaielman Both of these ladies shatter stereotypes. Lady's a living incarnation of Malice, yet cares for her boyfriend slash guardian slash minion Killer above all. Isolde lost her lover long ago, but does what she thinks is right to avenge him and doesn't die for her crimes. She also is lonely. One apprecative look at Killer's visage is enough to send Lady into a killing spree that won't end until Isolde is ground into dust. Deamoned vs Fogel
Namagomi Fogel *insert description of Fogel's confidence about battle here*. After all, Deamoned *insert description of Deamoned's shortcomings here*, and *insert motivating factor to Fogel here*. As Fogel and Deamoned *insert beginning of fight here*, Fogel *insert Fogel taking advantage here*. And then Deamoned hit him really hard in the face with HP->1. Namagomi Geddoe shrugged from his seat, an amused smirk on his face. Sometimes, luck just had a way of getting back at him. It would figure that he'd end up fighting the one opponent that somehow, managed to make his magic work simply by acting as if it didn't exist. ...Not that he was going to send himself on a suicide mission. The robot could have the win, and he'd prefer not to be made into a roast or fruit pie or otherwise dealt with in some manner related to culinary means, directly or indirectly. And yet, he had the luck to behold as he was flipping through TV channels, what appeared to be a kids' show. ...Starring Raquel and a giant hamster. ...scratch that. A giant hamster with Arnaud's voice. Some have all the fortune in the world, and others just have none. Geddoe chuckled in slight amusement at Arnaud's plight of having thrown a match within the same timeframe that the studios were recording a new season of 'Miss Raquel's Neighborhood'. ...then he kept flipping through TV channels, looking for something to interest him. ---------------------------- Meanwhile, in the arena, Worker 8's sale of Ghostess Fruit Pies have gone at a record high. Supposedly, so have dentist visits for tooth decay and cavities. Being the only one to show up at the arena, he was awarded the win by default. Bowman Jean vs Kyra Tierny
DragonKnight Zero "Begin!" boomed the announcer. Kyra noticed a oddly wistful look on Bowman's face. "Something the matter?" she asked. "Oh. I'm OK; it's that you reminded me of my wife." Bowman responded. "Really. Tell me about it." "I'd like to. Aren't we supposed to be dueling?" "Oh that can wait. I want to hear about her." So they chatted. About Nineh, university, Esper training, the Algo system, and so on. For over an hour. This did not sit well with some of the spectators. They came to see a fight dammit and they voiced their displeasure by throwing various fruits and vegetables. After Bowman took a hit from a pineapple, Kyra cast Warla on them both to ward off further bruises. A grateful Bowman threw the match, appreciative of such kindness as they walked off to continue their conversation. One could also argue that Kyra doesn't have to leave the ring to cut down hecklers while Bowman does. They're not of such violent disposition to turn readily to such tactics though. Tia vs Gijimu
superaielman Tia is better than Gijimu at speed, magical durability, skillset and status immunity. All Giji can do is hit things to brutal effect with his double greataxes. Tia's one real weaknesses is physical fighters in Light, and she's ran into the best. Even if Tia barely survives the first hit, there's nothing she can do to stop Gijimu from attacking and just killing her in the next swing. Tia: 18

Tide Cyan's battle tactics for this battle can be surmised as follows: Battle start! Uh...
