Welcome back, dear readers, to Season Twelve Finals Week, here at the RPGDL! It's been yet another spectacular season here at the RPGDL, with a grand collection of powerful fighters having fought their way to the top of each division - now, only eight remain, and only four can come out on top. It's up to you, dear reader, to decide who shall triumph, and who shall fall.
First, go check out the Results Page and see how last week's bouts concluded. Did elf or knight triumph in Middle? Did arrows pierce armour in Light? And did angel or dragon conquer in Godlike? All this, and more, await you inside, dear readers!
Of course, I'm sure you're all dying to check out the Arena, so head on over there next. In Light, Cecile, fallen Middle star, has been given the chance she's dreamed of to avenge her defeat and reclaim her position - can she overcome one last foe, perhaps her toughest yet? In Middle, Maya Amano has fought a long, hard battle to reach the top of her division, and score her home game its first title - she's ready to give it her all, and not even a sexually ambiguous elf will stand in her way. In Heavy, legendary guardian Auron has silenced his detractors, and now stands ready to take down his demonic opponent, and claim some of his lost RPGP glory - will he or Wugui be playing the Game of Death this week? And finally, in Godlike, a heated battle between two gods comes to full boil this week, as Fou-Lu and Myria prepare for what will most likely be Godlike's most bloody finals match yet - who shall triumph of the Breath of Fire baddies? Only you, dear reader, can solve these dilemmas, so make haste to the arena right away!
There's more to this site than the arena, of course. Check out the Fourth Chapter of The Second Mr. Face Saga, brand new and ready for your perusing right now. Will Face find any clues regarding Shinra this week? Will he come closer to unravelling the truth?
In addition, the RPGDL times has Breaking News as Guido Kandori was forcefully removed from the RPGDL roster.
Also, don't forget to stop by The RPG Strategy League, and check out what's going on in the World of Balance. It would seem that the Empire is not doing as well as was previously thought: Locke's rescue of Celes, and the subsequent resistance of both Doma and Figaro have proved to be major speed bumps to the Empire's plans. Is this the end of the Gestahl's ambitions?
And finally, stop on over by the RPGDL Forums, and register and account. It only takes a couple seconds, and it opens up a whole new world. Converse with staffers and fellow forum-goers on the status of the DL, and give us some input. We'd love to hear from you.
Once again, it's time for Chisato Madison to take over, and bring you Behind the Scenes of the RPGDL:
|
So calamari kid, how was your funeral last week?

Eh…typical. We put him on a catapult and launched him out to sea. The usual.

That’s all? Pretty boring funeral if you ask me.

Well, there was the dusk ‘till dawn drinking party afterwards. Five-cent drinks, made from fresh seawater, from dusk ‘till dawn. Good times.

Alright, enough banter. Welcome back Ultros; now grab the cameras.

Right on, chief!

We’re going to try to get this done nice and quick this week. Finals week interviews need to go fast, before we have people killing each other…or doing the Time Warp.

…what are you looking at me for?

The Time Warp?! You did the Time Warp while I was gone? I can’t believe I missed it.

You didn’t miss that much, really: the big scene was Chisato putting Odin into the full-body cast you see him in right now. I still can’t believe she’s ranked Light – she could give me a good fight.

But you danced without me there! I mean…I have all these legs, and I couldn’t make use of them.

You know Ultros, you remind me…

…of the babe.

…what babe?

The babe with the power!

What power?

The power of voodoo!

…who the hell is this nutcase?

No, no, no! That’s not how the song goes! Thanks for ruining it.

Ruining what? You just jumped out here and started singing some stupid song about a baby who does voodoo. I have every right to call you a nutcase if I want to…nutcase.

Ar…my arch-nemesis is trying to woo the reporters ahead of me! Avast ye’ scurvy scum!

So you wish to end this here, my worthy adversary? Then we shall…

I doth think the lad protest too much.

Indeed. This is trying my patience. This ends now!

Whoop ass time!

Now hold on just a minute! What the hell is going on here? And who are you two nutcases? You don’t look like RPG characters at all.

Ar, but of course we are!

Indeed. I’m in nearly every RPG!

I’ll bet my lucky coin that’s not true.

I don’t know: he does bear an uncanny resemblance to…

…everyone!

Alright, this has gone on long enough. Please leave, or I’ll have you escorted out.

Let me take care of them. I’ll make them my special friends.

Ar…special friend with you lass? I think not. Ye be too young.

…should I play the game?

Please, do.

Hey, cool! I’ve seen those moves in an Asian movie once! Let me try it!

…it failed?! The Game of Death never fails!

Aaaaaahhhhh!

Hey, looks like it didn’t fail after all. You might actually stand a chance against Auron now.

Heh. I’ll be happy to watch him try.

Er…

Should we call in security?

No…let’s just get out of here.

Ar…you be a worthy adversary, my magically dancing foe. But ye shall never stand a chance against me on the open seas!

Then let us take this battle to the open seas, my worthy opponent!

Mine ears and mine eyes doth bleed. I shalt be leaving.

Yes. I have a castle to guard!

See you in the ring.

Awww…all of our friends have left us.

Too bad. It would seem as if we ruined their little show. But hey, when you have a sexy body like mine, you can’t ruin anything!

Ah, but can you dance the magic dance in micropants? I think not!

Is that a challenge?

Ar…it be!

Then come! Let’s finish this!
