It's finally here, dear readers! Finals week of Season Thirteen has arrived! Filled with loads of action, excitement, and even a touch of romance ( well, maybe we're exaggerating now ), this is the week you've all been waiting for! Vinsfeld, the terrorist leader, has proven his mettle by making it all the way to the Light finals. Now, all he must do is overcome the most fearsome duck warrior this side of Light, and he shall acheive the immortal status of Light champion. In Middle, Karsh, the sole survivor of the Chrono Cross invasion, has been given the chance to drive home a championship for the most-maligned game in the DL - can he overcome an esper hell-bent on upgrading to Heavy to face his archnemesis? Meanwhile, Rika, Rune's friend and comrade-in-arms, faces off against a far different enemy: an honourable knight, ready to ruin her day. Will the young cat-girl claw her way to victroy? And finally, in Godlike, it's a clash of dragon and goddess in a titanic struggle to determine the next Godlike champion - will Myria secure her 2nd title in a row, or will the Yorae Dragon unseat her? I mean, ever since Odin broke into the dressing rooms on a “staff” mission, we’ve been banned from filming in there ever since. Hey, it was a staff mission! I had important stuff to do! Oh? Like what? What possibly could you have been trying to do in the women’s changing room? It was a special “exposition” of the female characters from the Final Fantasy series, if you get my drift. I still can’t understand why Chisato didn’t fire you at some point. He’s cheap labour, and as we all know, Chisato is a very cheap woman – in more ways than one. Ba-dum *ching* Thank you folks, I’m here all night. Anyway, back on topic, we’re doing this because it’s finals week, and we need to do something special. Plus, I got a letter from Chisato in the mail today. A letter? Hey, let’s see it! Later. Let’s work on getting this show on the road. But how are we supposed to get into the dressing rooms without getting kicked out? Oh, easily. Take a look at these. …women’s clothing? Oooohhh! I’ll look fabulous in that one! Can I wear the pink one? …sure, whatever. Just put them on, and let’s go. Does this make me look fat? No, Odin: the fat makes you look fat. Move on in, slaves. Hm…it’s kind of empty. Eeeeek! Bad man slash! Argh! Huh, weird. Apparently, Odin in drag is still an ugly man. Who knew? Me! You and most of the DL. So, while we’re here…Rika, that was some pretty mean slashing you did there. Think it’ll win you a Heavy title? Sure do! I’ll slash and gash that nasty knight and go join Chaz in Godlike! Yay! I won’t hold back against you, my dear. Even though you’re a woman, I will still fight you with all my strength. And I’ll do the same, though I doubt I’ll need it. I can’t believe this Chrono Cross scrub made it to the finals. How…disturbing. Who did you have to bribe to get here? I made it here under my own power, thank you very much. Pah. The only Chrono Cross character with any power is Serge, and that’s not even true power, it’s all his youthful spirit. But youthful spirit is true power! That’s how I’ve made it so far this season! Yes, we’re all familiar with your youthful spirit. Sadly, you’re no Serge, and therefore probably can’t make it in Godlike at all. Youthful spirit is worthless! That little blue bird-man had loads of it, and then he happened to incur my wrath, leading to his early demise! It’s foolish to think that mere youthful spirit can guard against the incalculable might of a powerhouse Light champion such as myself! H, hey! You haven’t won y-y-yet! And stop being so mean to Gryz! Bwhahahaha! You think you can stop me? I shall terrorize all of Light, and then take over the world! Nothing can stop me! Except possibly a healer…or someone who does high damage..or someone with immunity to instant death…or… For those of you who don’t understand the terminology we’re using, he just means ‘someone who doesn’t suck’. Obviously. Any idiot would know that. Yeah, even me! Hey, Morte, are we expecting to be missing Chisato and Myria again this week? Yes we are. And I’m bored of this bunch already. Gah, I hate finals week: never anything interesting. … Hm…eh, worth a shot. Ahem…how are ya’ Ryu? How do you feel about taking down a villain from your home series you’ve never fought before? … Fascinating. So, apparently you think the magic words are not really ‘abra kadabra’, but ‘…’. Amazing. Uh… I’m done. Let’s get out of here. Hey, you mind reading that message from Chisato? Eh, whatever. It reads ‘Dear my lovable slaves: How are you doing? Hopefully suffering the usual trials and tribulations working under me entails. I’ve been having a great time terrorizing the world under Myria. However, I’ve not forsaken the show. I’ll return before the end of the season. After all, I’m sure the show is running into the ground without me around to exert my typical heavy-handed control. Anyway, that’s all. I need to get back to razing the peasant’s houses. Until we meet again.’ So, that means she’ll be here next week. Time to start the preparations? Yes. I want barbed wire set-up in a 30 yard perimeter, with a mine field 10 yards beyond that. Watchtowers on guard twenty-four hours. Oh, and a moat. With big crocodiles. Can’t go wrong with those.
